Sade Morland Studios – Hair and Makeup Services

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of hair and makeup services by Sade Morland Studios (“the Artist”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“you”, “the Client”). By making a booking, paying a booking fee, or receiving services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.

 

1. Bookings

1.1 Bookings are subject to availability and may be made up to one (1) day prior to the requested service date.

1.2 A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the applicable non-refundable booking fee.

1.3 No booking shall be deemed confirmed until written confirmation has been issued by Sade Morland Studios.

2. Wedding Hair and Makeup Services

2.1 All wedding bookings require a £50 non-refundable booking fee to secure both the bridal trial and the wedding date. This fee is not deductible from the wedding day costs.

2.2 Where an assistant is required, an additional £50 booking fee shall be payable. This amount will be deducted from the final wedding invoice.

2.3 The full cost of the trial appointment is payable at the commencement of the trial.

2.4 Following the trial, the Client shall have twenty-four (24) hours to confirm:

 

• whether they wish to proceed with wedding day services; and

• the final number of hair and/or makeup services required.
  2.5 Once confirmed, service numbers may not be reduced. Any reduction requested after the 24-hour period shall not affect the total amount payable, which shall remain based on the agreed number of services.
  2.6 Should the Client elect not to proceed with wedding day services following the trial, no further payment shall be required; however, the booking fee shall remain non-refundable.
  2.7 The remaining balance for the wedding date must be paid no later than thirty (30) days prior to the wedding date.
  2.8 Failure to pay the balance by the due date shall result in automatic cancellation of the booking and release of the date, with no refund due.
  2.9 Cancellations made up to eight (8) weeks prior to the wedding date may, at our discretion, be transferred to an alternative date or another service, subject to availability.
  2.10 Where cancellation arises directly from government-imposed COVID-19 restrictions, the booking fee may be transferred to a new date or alternative service.

 

3. Payments

3.1 Upon receipt of any booking fee, an invoice shall be issued electronically to the email address provided by the Client.

3.2 Trial appointments take place at Sade Morland Studios, 31 Brooklands Drive, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 3PD, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.3 The balance of the trial appointment is payable on the day of the trial.

3.4 A revised invoice confirming wedding day services shall be issued twenty-four (24) hours following the trial.

3.5 All payments must be made by bank transfer or cash. Cheques are not accepted.

4. Travel and Expenses

4.1 The Client shall be responsible for all agreed travel expenses incurred by the Artist, including but not limited to mileage, parking fees, and congestion charges.

4.2 For destination weddings, the Client shall provide and cover the cost of:

 

• UK and international airport transfers;

• flights; and

• accommodation with breakfast for the duration required.

5. Parking

5.1 Where parking charges are incurred in the provision of services, including hotel parking, metered parking, or congestion zones, such charges shall be payable by the Client.

6. Health, Safety, and Conduct

6.1 The Client must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions prior to any appointment.

6.2 Sade Morland Studios accepts no liability for adverse reactions, including but not limited to allergic reactions, eczema, skin irritation, or eye sensitivity.

6.3 The Artist reserves the right to refuse or terminate services, without refund, in the event of abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour by the Client or any member of the bridal party.

7. Photography and Intellectual Property

7.1 The Artist reserves the right to photograph or record hair and makeup applications for portfolio, marketing, promotional, and commercial purposes.

7.2 By booking, the Client grants Sade Morland Studios a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use such images unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the appointment.

8. Cancellations

8.1 The Client may cancel a booking at any time by providing written notice.

8.2 All payments made prior to cancellation are non-refundable. The Client shall not be liable for any further payments following cancellation.

8.3 Trial appointments cancelled with less than forty-eight (48) hours’ notice shall be charged in full.

8.4 In the event that Sade Morland Studios must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond reasonable control and no suitable alternative can be provided, all monies paid shall be refunded in full. No additional compensation shall be payable.

8.5 Where performance is affected by circumstances beyond the Artist’s control, all reasonable efforts shall be made to mitigate disruption; however, no liability or compensation shall arise. Clients are strongly advised to obtain appropriate wedding insurance.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

10. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

 

 

10.1 Sade Morland Studios is the Data Controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

10.2 Personal data collected from the Client may include, but is not limited to, names, contact details, email addresses, event details, allergy and medical information relevant to the provision of hair and makeup services.

 

10.3 Personal data is collected and processed solely for the purposes of:

 

• responding to enquiries and managing bookings;

• providing hair and makeup services;

• issuing invoices and processing payments;

• maintaining business records; and

• marketing and portfolio use where consent has been given.

 

 

10.4 Any medical or allergy information provided by the Client is treated as special category data and will only be processed where necessary for the safe provision of services.

 

10.5 Personal data will be stored securely and retained only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above, or as required by law.

 

10.6 Sade Morland Studios will not sell, distribute, or share personal data with third parties except where required by law or where necessary to fulfil the service (for example, working assistants).

 

10.7 The Client has the right to:

 

• request access to their personal data;

• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

• request deletion of personal data where legally permissible;

• object to or restrict processing; and

• withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

 

 

10.8 Requests relating to personal data must be made in writing and will be responded to within the statutory timeframe in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

 

10.9 By booking services with Sade Morland Studios, the Client acknowledges that they have read and understood how their personal data will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with this section.
